Call for Instructors

Players,

We have the means to employ a contingent of you as chess instructors this year. Qualified instructors are paid very well for teaching elementary school students to play chess. We are looking for students who:

-Have good interpersonal skills
-Will attend regularly (this is a job, not a Club meeting)
-At least know the rules of the game (we can teach you more)
-Have experience teaching and/or with children

Right now, the position is open only on Fridays but there is potential for more opportunity during the week. Even if you wouldn’t be able to instruct Fridays, you should respond to this e-mail–that is, if you’d like some easy side money!

We are also looking for volunteers ;-) . . . while instructors get paid, the program helps the Club gain presence in the community and raise funds for itself.

If you are interested in the position, e-mail gmuchess@gmu.edu for information about applying.

Sincerely,

Jeff Brown
